Storyline / Plot
Tyler and his companion Margot Mills travel by ship to Hawthorne, an exclusive restaurant owned and operated by celebrity chef Julian Slowik, located upon a private island. The extra guests attending the dinner are Lilian, a food critic; her editor Ted; wealthy couple Richard and Anne; George, a post-prime movie star and his personal co-conspirator Felicity; and matter associates Soren, Dave, and Bryce. The charity are solution a tour of the island by the restaurant maitre d'htel, Elsa, who observations that Margot was not Tyler's designated guest for the evening.
Dinner begins, considering the courses and Slowik's accompanying monologues becoming more disquieting and violent. on Slowik's orders, one staff zealot kills himself and unorthodox cuts off Richard's finger. The restaurant's main traveler is drowned in stomach of the guests. Later, per one of the courses designs, the male guests are allowed to attempt run off but are caught and returned by the staff. Slowik declares all the guests were selected because they either contributed to him losing his passion for his craft or because they create a buzzing off exploiting the perform of artisans bearing in mind him. He announces that the night will end bearing in mind everyone on the island dead. past Margot's presence was unplanned, Slowik gives her the complementary of dying gone either the staff or the guests.
Slowik reveals that Tyler was invited personally and knew all along that the dinner would end like everyone's death. It is revealed that Margot is an escort named Erin whom Tyler has hired for the evening, knowing full competently she would die. Slowik humiliates Tyler further, influencing Tyler to commit suicide by hanging in a storeroom. Slowik decides that Erin belongs in imitation of the staff and asks her to summative a barrel needed for dessert, falsely claiming Elsa forgot it.
Erin sneaks into Slowik's house, single-handedly to be attacked by Elsa. Erin kills Elsa in self-defense by stabbing her in the neck. After seeing newspaper clippings of Slowik's once excitement in his office, Erin finds a radio, calls for help, and returns to the restaurant. A Coast protect official arrives from his boat, next reveals himself to be a heritage chef in disguise and returns to the kitchen.
Due to Erin's betrayal, Slowik now declares that she belongs like the guests, but Erin mocks his dishes and complains that she is still hungry. Having back seen a photo of a young, happy Slowik energetic at a fast-food restaurant, Erin asks him for a cheeseburger and fries. Moved by her easy request, Slowik prepares the meal to her specifications. Erin takes a bite and praises his food, then asks if she can acquire it "to go". Slowik packs the food for her and lets her leave. Erin takes the Coast protect ship docked approachable and escapes the island.
To end the dinner, Slowik pays rave review to s'mores by covering the guests once little capes made of marshmallows and hats made of chocolate. He then sets the restaurant ablaze, killing the guests, staff, and himself as Erin watches from the boat.
