Storyline / Plot La Chimera 2024
Arthur, a former British archaeologist, returns to Italy after brute released from prison, where he was arrested for stealing artifacts from tombs to sell to an arts dealer named Spartaco. He goes to visit his ex-girlfriend Beniamina's mother, Flora, at her intimates home, where he as a consequence meets her live-in maid and student, Italia. Beniamina has been missing for an undisclosed amount of time, but her mom is convinced she will one morning return. Beniamina's sisters are sick of Arthur seemingly freeloading from their mother, and try to find him a job, which he refuses. Arthur, lacking a decent coat and proper heating in his hut, catches a cold.
The bordering day, Beniamina's mommy sends Italia to Arthur to bring him some coffee. while she looks around his place, Arthur discovers that his artifacts - which he had kept buried in the ring beneath a tree - are missing. Arthur goes to his gangs lair. Confronted, they compensation his stolen artifacts and try to reconcile. He rebuffs them initially but accompanies them to the Epiphany celebrations happening in town. During the festival, a farmer approaches them nearly locating a tomb upon his land. Arthur's associates succeed to to look for it.
At the farm, Arthur, his gang, afterward him tomb raiders (tombaroli), and a young girl named Melodie, search for the tomb, which Arthur locates using a dowsing twig and through his 'chimeras' - visions he experiences upon standing atop a gravesite. Arthur and his associates continue to rob tombs, collecting artifacts to sell.

Inside the tomb, Arthur and his associates locate the statue of Artume. His contacts decapitate the statue in an attempt to concern her out of the tomb. Hearing police sirens, Arthur and his connections run away taking into consideration the head of the statue, unaware that the sirens were a trick by complementary charity attempting to steal the artifacts. Flora's intimates discovers that Italia was secretly hiding her children in her room to care for them, and kick her out.
Melodie takes them to find Spartaco, who is her aunt. The gang finds Spartaco upon a boat, admin an auction to sell the land of the statue. They attempt to understanding next her, by using the head as blackmail. She asks to look the head to sustain its legitimacy. Arthur reveals it to her, but has a fine-tune of heart, and tosses it overboard and into the water.
Furious in imitation of Arthur, his gang parts ways like him. Homeless after his hut is taken all along by police and out on the streets, he runs into Italia's daughter Colombina. She takes him to her mother, who is now full of beans in an solitary train station of Riparbella past other single mothers. They reconcile, and share a kiss, deserted for him to leave once more in the morning.
Arthur joins the group of tomb robbers who previously pretended to be police officers. After locating a tunnel and at the insistence of the group, Arthur reluctantly enters. The shaft closes in astern him, trapping him inside. He has a complete vision where he reunites in the manner of Beniamina.
